What are they?
Memorial Blessings are cast paper with other materials added into the paper. Currently I have 3 designs for Memorial Blessings.
What do they look like?
•Buddha Memorial Blessing - 3 options: Amitayus, Green Tara and Shakyamuni. >>click to see details
•Universal Memorial Blessings - 2 options, Shells from Vivonne Bay, Kangaroo Island - South Australia. >>click to see details
What are they made from? They can be made from any or a combination of things suggested here:
•A beloved family member’s Cremains.
•Dried flowers from a funeral service.
•Clothes, blankets, letters or other items the beloved may have shared or treasured.
•All Memorial blessings are made with 100% cotton fiber.
WHY?
My experience of the services offered through my local funeral home left me feeling empty. The experience and setting was sterile and artificial. So I followed my heart, my artistic instincts and listened to my inner voice. The journey I have been on has brought me to the realization I have a lot to share and offer for finding wholeness by exploring healing and meaning within the experience of grief and loss.
